If you are lucky enough to have the space, double drainer sinks (stainless steel sinks with 2 draining boards, one on each side of the bowl) offer a fantastic solution for cleaning and washing.
Dirty plates can be stacked on one side of the bowl, washed and then placed on the other to drain. All water drains into the sink, leaving the rest of your kitchen free of water, dampness and waste.
Another fantastic use for a double drainer sink is in a mud room or boot room. Washing dirty wellington boots and shoes and having a surface to put them down on that can be easily rinsed and cleaned is a god send.
Most of us aren’t lucky enough to have that option, but the extra washing space double drainers create in any kitchen is incredibly useful.
