Oven itself is good now it’s in and working – cooks evenly, looks smart, no complaints on that front. But the first one arrived with a small chip on the glass door. Modern Living at first offered to send the part out but I didn’t fancy messing around swapping the glass myself. To be fair, they arranged a full replacement really quickly, but I had to reschedule my kitchen fitter which was a pain. So yeah, happy with the end result but the hassle knocked it down a couple of stars for me

Spent ages comparing ovens online and eventually landed on this Avelis one mostly because of the capacity and the look. Its not easy to find a non – basic looking gas oven . It heats quickly, the door doesn’t get roasting hot (a surprise), and it hasn’t burned anything yet. Only downside is the instruction manual is a bit vague on the settings, but trial and error has worked fine so far.

I like I can actually fit a full roast dinner in without juggling trays. The soft-close door is a nice touch too, no more slamming! Only thing is I’m still getting used to the digital timer (bit fiddly), but that’s probably just me. Happy with the buy.

So far the oven seems great – looks smart and works well for everything I’ve tried, especially baking. But I also wanted to mention that the guy on the phone was really helpful when I couldn’t figure out how to book the delivery time. Not sure if that counts in the review for the oven or not? Either way, both the product and support were better than expected
