Slimline ceiling extraction for a clean, flush-fit finish
The ViandPro Aria is a compact 90 x 30cm ceiling cooker hood designed to provide effective extraction without a large island hood or ceiling bulkhead dominating the kitchen. Its slimline body allows it to fit neatly between standard ceiling joists where the installation layout allows.
The white glass centre panel and white outer frame give the hood a discreet appearance against lighter ceilings, making the Aria particularly well suited to kitchen islands, peninsulas and open-plan spaces.
WiFi app, remote and touch control
Operate the Aria using the included remote control, the controls on the hood itself or conveniently from your smartphone using WiFi app control. This gives you an easy choice of control methods without having to reach up to a ceiling-mounted extractor.
Designed to fit between joists
One of the main benefits of the Aria is its slimline construction. When the ceiling joists run in the same direction as the hob, the hood can sit between them and be installed into the existing ceiling line for a neat flush-fit appearance.
If the joists run across the direction of the hob, there will not normally be sufficient space between them to recess the complete hood in the same way. Joist direction and available ceiling depth should therefore be considered when planning the installation.
Ducted or recirculation installation
Ducted installation allows cooking vapours to be exhausted outside through suitable ducting and is normally the preferred option where an external duct route is available.
Recirculation installation is ideal where ducting outside is not practical. Charcoal filters clean the extracted air before it is routed through the ceiling duct and returned to the kitchen through a discreet ceiling vent.
The recirculation version includes the ducting kit required for the arrangement shown below. The ducted version is supplied ready for connection to 220 x 90mm ducting (not included), allowing the installer to select the most suitable duct components for the property.

Slim rectangular ducting
The Aria uses a 220 x 90mm rectangular duct outlet, providing a slim ducting format that is particularly useful where space within the ceiling void is restricted. The rectangular system can also be converted to 150mm round ducting where required.
The duct outlet is positioned at one end of the hood. The hood can be rotated 180° during installation where the duct route is required from the opposite side, allowing the installation orientation to be selected to suit the ceiling and ducting layout.
Ceiling space and installation dimensions
The Aria requires a minimum installation niche of 860mm long x 280mm wide x 210mm high.
It can fit within a ceiling constructed using approximately 8 inch / 203mm or deeper joists together with a standard 12.5mm plasterboard ceiling:
203mm joist + 12.5mm plasterboard = 215.5mm available depth
Where ceiling depth is particularly tight, the installation can also be designed with a small additional finished section or frame around the hood to provide the necessary clearance.

Which version should I choose?
Choose ducted where you have a practical route to exhaust the air outside. The rectangular 220 x 90mm outlet can be used with suitable rectangular ducting or converted to 150mm round ducting.
Choose recirculation where an external duct route is not practical. The charcoal filters clean the air before it is returned to the kitchen through the ceiling vent, as shown in the installation diagram above.
