- Choose the ducted or recirculating version to suit your kitchen
1. Ducted extraction – vents outside
The ducted version draws cooking fumes, odours and moisture through the hood and expels them outside the property through a suitable external wall or roof vent. This is generally the preferred choice where an outside duct route is possible.
Ducting: The hood has a 220 x 90mm rectangular outlet. Compatible 150mm round ducting can also be used with a suitable adaptor. A correctly sized, unobstructed duct route is important for performance.
Ducted installation illustration. Ducting and wall vent requirements depend on the property and selected installation.
2. Recirculating – returns filtered air to the kitchen
The recirculating version is designed for kitchens where venting outdoors is not practical. Cooking air passes through grease and charcoal filters to help reduce grease and odours. The filtered air then travels through ducting to a separate ceiling return vent and is released back into the kitchen.
Important: Recirculation does not remove moisture from the room. It still needs a suitable duct route and a return-air vent, and must never discharge into a sealed ceiling void. Charcoal filters require periodic replacement.
Recirculation installation illustration. Filter and ducting arrangements must be suitable for the selected version.

This kept popping up as an advert and I’d never heard of the brand – but happy with the hood so far. It’s not the quietest on full power, but does perform as expected.
Elisabeth M (verified owner) –
I received really clear advice from Modern Living and the hood came on the day they said it would.

We received the hood next day, but unfortunately it was damaged. Modern Living did a great job of replacing it within a few days, but it meant we were waiting on it to proceed with the installation.
V Broome (verified owner) –
Bought this one as opposed to the all white as it was cheaper. Think I made the right choice as it’s not really noticable.
Sarah T (verified owner) –
Fitted neatly and looks really clean once installed. Extraction is strong and the controls are straightforward.
A Powell (verified owner) –
I’d been looking for a hood like this for a while and the price sealed the deal

Similar to other reviews I’ve read, we had an issue with getting the remote connected. It’s easy when you know how, but we shouldn’t have to search for this information if the supplier is aware there is missing information.
